Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions will apply to the purchase of Artwork (Paintings or Sketches on the josheridanart Website) by you (the Customer or you).
We are Joanne Sheridan of josheridanart, with email address josheridanart@gmail.com (the Supplier; us or we). These are the terms on which we sell all Artwork to you. By ordering Artwork you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You must be eligible to enter into a contract and be at least 18 years old.

Artwork
‍Artwork for sale is shown on the josheridanart Website. Maximum attention is taken to ensure that images of the Artwork represent the original work as closely as possible. While every effort is made to accurately represent a piece of art on the Website small discrepancies - for example in colour may occur.
All sizes and prices listed on the Website are for UNFRAMED artworks. Please discuss framing requirements with josheridanart when contacting us about a particular piece. Additional costs may be incurred for framing depending on the individual size and value of the artwork.
Artwork may be purchased unframed. Unframed paintings are likely to have smudges and other marks on the edges as is expected for an original oil painting.
Original artworks that are not for sale may also be found on the Website.
In the case of Commissions, it is your responsibility to ensure that the initial request is specific and accurate regarding the subject, materials, size, framing requirements and timescale that you require. Initial discussions with josheridanart will determine all details before work can start. Prices for Commissions will be agreed in these discussions and will vary depending on the specific request. A 50% deposit will be required before work can start on a commissioned piece.

Making a Purchase
To purchase an Artwork or discuss a Commission from josheridanart contact us through the relevant form on the josheridanart Website. We will need a few details to be able to complete the order: this includes your Name E-mail address Home address Delivery address & Contact phone number
We accept cash; cheques or BACS transfer payments. Details of the Artwork purchase will be confirmed by email with josheridanart. Specific timings of a sale will depend on time taken for specific framing requirements if requested by the Customer.
Invoices will be sent by email to request payment and payments must be cleared before delivery of Artwork.
josheridanart reserves the right to remove Artwork from sale at any time. This would normally be in response to considerations around Open Call submissions and/or inclusion in gallery exhibitions.

Delivery and Returns ‍ ‍
Shipping will be charged at cost for all Artwork. Items will be tracked and insured. All reasonable efforts will be made to deliver ordered Artwork in a timely manner. You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.

Refund Policy
We want you to be absolutely delighted with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, please contact us within 14 days and we will happily exchange or refund it.  Please contact us at josheridanart@gmail.com to discuss how to return your Artwork. You agree to ensure safe return of the Artwork using the same insured and tracked carrier as the one josheridanart used for the initial delivery. Cost of returns will be borne by the Customer. Any Artwork sent back to josheridanart in a damaged condition will not be refunded.
Commissions are not eligible for refunds. It is expected that a specially commissioned piece will be agreed to be suitable for the Customer before shipping. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Privacy and Online Security
Your privacy is of the highest importance to us, and we promise never to release your personal details to any outside company for mailing or marketing purposes. If you sign up for updates on our Website, josheridanart will send you from time to time, newsletters, special offers and promotions by email. We won’t bombard you with messages but we understand and won’t be upset if you don’t wish to receive them. To cancel this service, please contact us at josheridanart@gmail.com.
When you make a purchase from josheridanart, we collect certain personal information from you: We may collect the following information: Name; contact information including email address; demographic information such as postcode; preferences and interests
We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service. We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers or other information which we think you may find interesting using the email address which you have provided. From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, or mail. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible.

If you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by emailing us at josheridanart@gmail.com. We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.
